You can have a purpose-driven career with the work you will do every day and you will have a positive impact on your life, your community and the world.What’s The RoleOn a day-to-day basis, Packaging Operators are involved with the following activities:Accountabilities:Safely and efficiently operate packaging machinery and material movement equipmentIdentify and implement equipment improvements to increase plant reliability Communicate verbally in writing to operators, employees, supervisors and others regarding the identification of problems with productivityPerform duties to distribute products to applicable areas, load, unload trucks, and support packaging linesPerform tool preventative maintenance and keep equipment cleanContribute to keeping process materials records and maintain good housekeeping practicesKeep log records of operational activities for optimal and thorough handover to other shiftsUnderstand and perform physical inventoriesSafe work attitude and practical knowledge of industrial safety standardsPrevious experience working with high-speed, high-volume material handling equipment, forklift, filling bottling, canning experience strongly preferredWhat We Need From YouMust be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work visaMinimum of 1 year of experience working in a packaging plant or experience in an industrial plant or military environmentMust be at least 18 years old, with a minimum High school diploma or GEDMust be flexible to work overtime, nights and weekends when the need arisesAble to communicate effectively with colleagues and customersPrior Military experience in a relevant job function such as warehouseman, supply, logistics and forklift operationsWilling to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodationWilling to support the company's drug-free work environment, harassment free work environment policy, safety policies in diversity and inclusion policiesTend to emergencies, successful candidates must reside within 60 minutes of the site or be willing to relocate to within 60 minutes of the site without relocation assistance***Please note that there is an Online Assessment which is required for this position. Please review your Workday tasks, directions and instructions in order to ensure you complete the required test within the provided timeframe***What We OfferThe rate for this position is $25.91. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
