Junior Test Engineer (Michigan)
Job Title: Junior Validation Engineer (Automotive) Job Summary: Support the validation and testing of automotive systems and components to ensure they meet design requirements, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: Assist in executing validation plans for vehicle systems (e.g., electrical, infotainment, ADAS, powertrain) Perform functional, integration, and system-level testing Conduct tests on vehicles, test benches (HIL/SIL), and lab setups Record, analyze, and report test results and defects Work with cross-functional teams (design, software, manufacturing) to troubleshoot issues Support root cause analysis and validation of fixes Ensure compliance with automotive standards and test procedures Maintain proper documentation of test cases, reports, and validation results Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field Basic knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle architecture Familiarity with testing tools and methodologies (HIL, CAN, diagnostics) Understanding of communication protocols like CAN, LIN, or Ethernet Exposure to tools like CANoe, CANalyzer, MATLAB, or Python is a plus Good analytical and problem-solving skills Nice to Have: Internship or project experience in automotive testing/validation Knowledge of standards like ISO 26262 (functional safety) Basic scripting/automation skills
