Elevate Rides Service Technician

Reports to: Elevate Rides DirectorDepartment: Elevate RidesWork Location: Branson, MissouriFLSA Status: Full Time ExemptPurpose: This position will primarily focus on service and shop operations, but will also have a diverse set of responsibilities related to customer service, community engagement and instruction. Service Technicians are small-engine repair mechanics who specialize in two-wheeled mopeds. A Service Technician is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and repair of small-engine vehicles. They work on engines, ignition systems, brakes, transmissions and more. Successful candidates will possess a passion for Branson, our community, and scooters.Primary ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil and replacing spark plugsRepair engines and transmissionsListen to engines, examine vehicle frames, and use diagnostic machines to identify problems and suggest solutionsComplete minor body repairs such as removing dents or repairing scratchesReplace worn, damaged and defective partsInstall GPS units and attach vinylCheck the condition and pressure of tires, and adjust them according to specificationsDisassemble and reassemble equipment in order to perform repairsCommunicate important repair information to customersManage supply inventory and complete purchase orders as necessaryManage Back of House day to day operations including cleaning and organizingProvide Customer Service to Program ParticipantsTeach Scooter SchoolMaintain service appointments and records for each scooter including any warranty workRepresenting the program at community events as requestedProgram Promotion and serving as an ambassador to the communityComplete service calls during and after hours when needed Key Skills: Work effectively with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgroundsStrong mechanical ability and problem solvingExcellent communication abilityStrong organizational and project management skillsAbility to work independentlyOversees the display of merchandise inside the store to enhance the appearance and appeal of the store.Acknowledges and follows financial policies of the Elevate Branson.Perform other duties as required.Minimum Requirements: Must be a team player. Understanding that resolving conflict requires handling situations with integrity and professionalism by communicating with direct supervisor.Must be a self-starter always looking for ways to improve upon the program.Demonstrate ability to problem-solve, analyze data, make good decisions for the organization, attend to details, and prioritize multiple projects at one time.Ability to adapt quickly to changing organization environment including learning and applying new training and knowledge.Ability to generate enthusiasm and interest from others for working within certain departments.Must fully support the Elevate Branson mission, vision, core values and staff.Must have minimum 1 year two-wheel mechanic experienceMO Driver's License & Class "M" EndorsementHigh School Diploma, college preferredAbility to lift 75 pounds and successfully manipulate scootersPhysical Requirements: Requires ability for frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, pulling and pushing.Requires the ability to successfully manipulate scootersOccasionally may be required to carry items up to 75 pounds for short distances.Compensation: Competitive salary with earned time off and benefits.
