SUMMARYAdministration and documentation of physician ordered medications, treatments, and point of care testing following established clinical guidelines.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties within scope of practice may be assigned.)Administer physician ordered oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal and rectal medicationsAdminister insulin, epinephrine, and B12 pursuant to physician direction and clinical guidelinesAdminister medications via a metered dose inhalerConduct finger stick blood glucose testing following established clinical guidelinesAdminister a commercially prepared disposable enema ordered by a physicianDocumentation of medication administration and/or declination following established clinical guidelinesReport and document in the resident's record any unusual reaction to medication and provide to resident, their family and the health care providerProperly store and dispose of medicationsProvides routine care to the patient, i.e. bathing, grooming, dressing, as neededComplete dressing changes of skin alterations as established in the clinical guidelines and per physician orders. Report changes to the licensed nurse as neededMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalent is requiredCurrent Certified Nursing Aide in State of GeorgiaCertified Medication Aide in State of Georgia
