Student Success Coach, Alpha - $120,000/year USD

Full health, dental, and vision coverage from day oneSchool-year calendar with predictable hoursThe most helpful thing you can do for a 6-year-old who achieved 99% is not to round it up to 100%. If that principle feels uncomfortable, this role isn't for you. If it feels self-evident—if you know that children grow into the expectations you set—this position was designed with you in mind.Alpha operates differently from conventional schools. Academic learning happens through adaptive software that adjusts to each student's level and pace. There are no classroom lectures. No identical worksheets handed to 25 children regardless of ability. Instead, each student progresses through individualized learning applications while you—their Guide—support them through the challenging moments: maintaining focus when difficulty increases, working through frustration, and recognizing genuine mastery rather than simple participation.Your day begins with motivation sessions: analyzing each student's progress in their learning platforms, establishing daily objectives, and identifying the right approach for each child. That might be a leaderboard competition, school currency incentives, or a direct conversation about their potential. The afternoon transitions to life skills workshops where you facilitate public speaking, concentration techniques, and how to offer and accept feedback through experiential, project-driven activities. You'll administer mastery-based assessments (Test2Pass) where students demonstrate true internalization of skills, not just attendance. Throughout, you're guiding emotional regulation, building resilience, and teaching problem-solving with consistent expectations and genuine care.Guides who excel here advance to Lead Guide roles, mentoring teams of Guides while continuing hands-on work with their own cohort. The progression from "I transformed 15 children's trajectories" to "I'm developing the team that impacts hundreds" is tangible and attainable. If traditional education never appealed to you, but you're convinced that what occurs between ages 4 and 7 determines much of what follows—submit your application. What You Will Be DoingFacilitating daily motivation sessions with K-2 students: analyzing Coachbot analytics, establishing personalized goals, and applying Alpha's motivational framework (school currency, leaderboards, individual coaching) to achieve 100% goal attainmentLeading one-hour life skills workshops covering public speaking, concentration, feedback exchange, and time management—all experiential and project-based, guided by Alpha's curriculum frameworkSupporting emotional regulation, resilience, and problem-solving development in partnership with Reading Specialists who manage literacy instructionConducting Test2Pass mastery assessments where students prove they've truly absorbed each life skill before progressingDeveloping authentic connections with each student by understanding their passions, capabilities, and challenges so your coaching feels individualized, not formulaicWhat You Won’t Be DoingStanding at the front delivering lectures or teaching academic content.
