Your primary responsibility will be to conduct art auctions, engage with guests, and foster a vibrant atmosphere within the onboard art gallery. This role requires a deep passion for art, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive sales in a dynamic and diverse environment.Responsibilities:Conducting Art Auctions: Lead live art auctions, showcasing a variety of artworks to passengers.Provide engaging and informative commentary on each piece, highlighting its artistic value and significance.Encourage bidding and create a lively auction atmosphere.Artwork Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of various art styles, artists, and art history.Be prepared to answer questions and provide insights into the artists and their works.Guest Interaction: Interact with passengers, building relationships and understanding their preferences.Offer guidance and assistance to potential buyers, helping them make informed decisions.Sales and Revenue Generation: Meet or exceed sales targets through effective auctioneering and post-auction sales.Implement strategies to stimulate interest and boost participation in art events.Gallery Management: Ensure the art gallery is well-maintained and visually appealing.Assist with the setup and arrangement of artworks for display.Promotional Activities: Collaborate with onboard marketing teams to promote art events and auctions.Host pre-auction events to generate excitement and interest among passengers.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales, bidder information, and inventory.Provide regular reports to onboard management regarding auction performance.Training and Development: Stay updated on art market trends and auction industry best practices.Conduct onboard art-related presentations and workshops for passengers.Requirements:Strong public speaking and presentation skills.Extensive knowledge and appreciation of various art forms.Sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.Previous experience in art auctions or sales is preferred.Flexibility to adapt to cruise ship schedules and itineraries.Working Place: Miami, Florida, United States
