Cyber Security Engineer

Position Overview - 5 Days On-site (Orlando, FL)We are seeking a hands-on Cybersecurity Engineer II to support and expand a growing enterprise security environment. This person will help manage, configure, troubleshoot, and improve multiple cybersecurity platforms across the organization.The ideal candidate will have experience administering enterprise security tools, supporting integrations, troubleshooting platform issues, and working closely with infrastructure, systems, networking, and endpoint teams.This role is a strong fit for a mid-level cybersecurity professional who enjoys a mix of operational support and project-based engineering work.Key ResponsibilitiesCybersecurity Platform AdministrationConfigure, maintain, and troubleshoot cybersecurity platform policies and controls.Support enterprise security tools such as Okta, CrowdStrike, Tanium, ThreatLocker, Proofpoint, Zscaler, or similar platforms.Assist with platform implementation, expansion, upgrades, integrations, and ongoing administration.Monitor platform health, security policy effectiveness, and operational performance.Security Operations & TroubleshootingTroubleshoot platform issues, integration failures, alerts, and operational incidents.Support other IT teams with cybersecurity-related technical issues.Perform independent technical analysis and remediation activities.Partner with infrastructure, systems, networking, and endpoint teams on security initiatives.Project-Based Security EngineeringSupport cybersecurity projects related to platform expansion, endpoint security, IAM, Zero Trust, and security policy improvements.Assist with security hardening and best-practice initiatives across Windows and Linux environments.Balance daily operational support with continuous improvement and engineering initiatives.Documentation & CommunicationCreate technically accurate documentation, including user guides, knowledge base articles, process documentation, and configuration notes.Develop end-user communication related to platform updates, outages, changes, and security initiatives.Day-to-Day Breakdown50% operational support and troubleshooting50% project-based cybersecurity engineering initiativesRequired Qualifications5+ years of cybersecurity experience.At least 2 years in a cybersecurity engineering role supporting enterprise security platforms end-to-end.Hands-on experience with several enterprise security platforms, such as: Okta, CrowdStrike, Tanium, ThreatLocker, Proofpoint, Zscaler, and/or Similar cybersecurity toolsExperience with platform configuration, policy administration, troubleshooting, operational support, integrations, implementation, and expansion.3–5 years of systems administration and networking experience.Intermediate understanding of Windows and Linux security principles.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to create clear technical documentation and end-user materials.Preferred QualificationsCybersecurity certification such as CISSP, GCSEC, GCED, Security+, or similar.Candidates without a certification should be willing to obtain one within the first year.Experience supporting enterprise-scale security environments.Familiarity with Zero Trust, endpoint security, identity and access management, and modern infrastructure environments.Team EnvironmentThis role will join a collaborative cybersecurity and infrastructure team that includes cybersecurity engineers, analysts, infrastructure engineers, systems engineers, and distributed support personnel across multiple locations.
