More importantly, we're a group of people chefs, hospitality veterans, managers and creators who believe in the power of treating our guests like family and our restaurants like home.Position Summary: The Private Dining Captain works closely with the sales and management teams on events to communicate with guests, assist with event prep and set-up, supervise staff and oversee breakdown of events.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Maintains a cheerful, courteous disposition and a neat, clean and professional imageCaptaining private events to ensure guest satisfaction and operational successReviews BEO and any additional event/timeline notes prior to eventEnsure the highest quality of food, beverage and hospitality for all private dining and special eventsEfficient, accurate and clear communication to all members of the team this includes other service team members, culinary team, management team and Private Dining & Events ManagerAssist with printing private dining menus, as neededLead and supervise room set up in accordance to the event orderLead pre-shift meeting, in conjunction with culinary teamDelegating and communicating with the private events teamAssist in expediting food, as necessaryWelcome event hosts; help troubleshoot/adjust to ensure that everything is to the hosts approvalEnsure proper and accurate billing of events in a timely fashionResponsible for ensuring sufficient operating supplies/equipment for PDR eventsKeeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessaryBe completely proficient with the food and drink menuCoordinate with the Private Dining & Events Manager, FOH and BOH management for any repairs or maintenance needs in the PDRProvide unique and creative ideas to enhance the private dining guest experienceMaintain a familiarity with upcoming event detailsAssists other team members as needed or when business needs dictatesTraining new private dining team membersMinimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):High School Diploma or GED graduateServSafe Certification requiredBASSET Certification requiredAbility to handle stress under pressureWillingness to maintain a clean, healthy, and safe working environmentAbility to coordinate multiple activities with attention to detailAbility to work independently, with minimal supervisionPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Ability to be flexible with job demands and open minded when being asked to complete tasksAbility to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the restaurantAbility to move or handle equipment throughout the restaurant generally weighing 0-50 poundsAbility to work varied hours/days as business dictatesAbility to stand for up to 8-10 hours a dayOne Off Hospitality provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation and training.
