This role partners closely with Engineering, Operations, and Quality to ensure that supplier performance consistently meets or exceeds Janicki Industries’ quality and delivery objectives. Performance is monitored and managed using key metrics to drive accountability, continuous improvement, and supply chain reliability. The Supply Chain Procurement Manager also plays a key role in ensuring internal compliance with supply chain policies and procedures by providing training, guidance, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams. This position is responsible for managing and developing a team of Procurement Specialists through coaching, mentorship, and formal skill development training. It demands a mindset of extreme ownership, taking full accountability for the team’s performance, results, and alignment with Janicki’s Core Values.Roles & ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute procurement strategies aligned with company objectives to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of materials, components, and servicesSupport supply chain planning to ensure seamless material flow through procurement, receiving, and inventory processesMonitor supplier performance using KPIs and lead corrective actions to drive continuous improvementCollaborate with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Program teams to support production, new programs, and delivery targetsNegotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring favorable terms, risk mitigation, and compliance with legal and customer requirementsIdentify and address supply chain risks such as sole sourcing, geopolitical issues, and capacity constraintsEnsure compliance with ITAR, FAR, DFARS, AS9100, and internal quality and regulatory standardsDrive cost savings through value engineering, strategic sourcing, and supplier optimizationProvide training and support to internal teams on procurement policies and best practicesReport procurement performance, supplier risks, and sourcing opportunities to leadershipEnsure adherence to company policies, certifications, and operational best practicesPromote a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety regulationsMaintain professionalism under pressure, manage multiple deadlines, and uphold company valuesMeet attendance requirements; reliable presence is essential for this roleSupport the growth and development of team members through coaching, mentorship, and skills trainingPerform additional duties as assigned to support team and company goalsBasic Qualifications4-year degree in supply chain or related experience preferred. Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED.APICS or other materials management certification a plusMinimum eight (8) years of purchasing/supply chain management experience, in aerospace/manufacturingHighly organized with strong attention to detail, possessing solid organizational and time management skillsStrong contract negotiation skillsAbility to effectively communicate, mentor, and train teams in all aspects of supply chain management, supported by strong interpersonal skillsProven decision-making and problem-solving skills, with a strong drive and commitment to excellenceWillingness and ability to learn, grow, and adapt in a highly energized, fast paced environmentComprehensive PC skills, including MS Office (Excel/Access/Word/PowerPoint), SAP ERP, and has Capability to learn and use new systemsDue to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Detailed Wage InformationWage range for this role is between $115,000 - $150,000, plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role.
