You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Data Science, and Operations to design, build, and maintain the backend services that power our next generation of claim experiences.Responsibilities Design and implement clear, scalable APIs and backend services that power core claim workflows Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Data Science, and Engineering teams to define requirements, develop technical designs, and deliver high-quality features from concept to production Write clean, well-tested code and contribute to a culture of engineering excellence through thoughtful code reviews and shared best practices Instrument and monitor services to ensure reliability, performance, and observability in productionSkillsQualifications: 5+ years of backend software development experience Proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Kotlin, Java, or Python Strong understanding of microservices and Kubernetes with experience working on APIs and end-to-end development from developing to testing Hands-on experience designing and implementing high-throughput APIs, data pipelines, and distributed systemsComfort working across the backend stack to diagnose and solve complex technical challenges Excellent written and verbal communication skills; adept at collaborating in design discussions, working sessions, and code reviews#INDPRO
