IFRS Accountant

This IFRS Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This role will support the company's growing renewable energy portfolio by managing accounting for complex transactions, including project financing, revenue recognition and asset accounting related to solar energy systems.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain financial statements in compliance with IFRSAnalyze and document accounting treatment for complex transactions, including leases, joint ventures, and project financing arrangementsSupport revenue recognition in accordance with IFRS (including long term contracts and energy sales agreements such as PPAs)Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and ensure accuracy of financial dataAssist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processesCollaborate with FP&A, project finance, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting for solar assetsPrepare technical accounting memos and support audits (internal and external)Monitor changes in IFRS standards and assess impacts on the companySupport consolidation of domestic and international entities, where applicableAssist with internal controls and compliance initiativesKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related fieldCPA or equivalent certification preferred3-6+ years of accounting experience, preferably with IFRS exposureExperience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or project-based accounting strongly preferredStrong knowledge of IFRS standards (e.g., NetSuite, SAP or similar)Advanced Excel skillsStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsPreferred Skills & ExperienceExperience with solar or energy industry accounting (asset capitalization, depreciation, tax equity structures)Familiarity with Power Purchase Agreements (PPA's) and lease accountingExperience working in a fast growing or private equity-backed environmentAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Key CompetenciesAttention to detail and accuracyProblem solving and technical accounting expertiseAbility to work cross functionallyStrong written and verbal communication skillsAdaptability in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment
