Founding Engineer OpportunityAs a founding engineer, you will work directly with the CTO and partially with the CEO on critical parts of the product roadmap to develop and deploy new critical new capabilities. Build and deploy products for SMB and enterprise customers that will have a huge, tangible impact on customers' product development. Engage with customers to understand how users think about their problems and how we can develop usable products to solve them.What you'll bring:2+ years experience in hands-on software development of highly technical products or a PhD in a CS or robotics-related field (e.g. MechE, ECE, etc.).Past experience in software development, ideally for deployed products, open-source projects, or large codebasesPast experience working with control systems, ideally having broad working knowledge in more than one of the following:Numerical optimizationGenerative AI development and its underlying core methodologyPhysical simulation and scientific computingAdvanced robotic control methodsGeometry processing representations and algorithmsComfortable owning projects end-to-end, from ideation to deployment to maintenanceIntense curiosity, a desire to be continuously learning, grit, and an ability to communicate your technical ideas to a teamProduct-minded with bent towards ideatingProficiency in Python and leading ML frameworks such as Jax and PyTorchEven better...Experience working at a startup as an early hire, and being in charge of deploying product and codePast roles that interface with end customers to influence software developmentProficiency in additional programming languages including (e.g.) C++ and C#.Experience programming CUDA kernels for GPU-acceleration, and integration of those kernels with ML frameworks.Experience with visual computing domain-specific languages (DSLs) such as NVIDIA Warp or Taichi-Lang.Previous development work in Unity or NVIDIA Omniverse.What we offer:20 days off/yearMedical and dental benefitsHealth and wellness discount plan401(k) accountFactorio (and other games) gaming buddies
