Asset Protection Manager

SUMMARYThis is a great opportunity for an experienced Asset Protection professional who wants regional exposure, investigative work, and strong partnership with store leadership — without being tied to a single location.The Asset Protection Manager plays a critical role in protecting company assets through proactive investigations, shrink reduction strategies, and strong partnerships with store leadership across a defined group of stores. This role balances investigative work, in-store presence, and collaboration to reduce risk, address organized retail crime (ORC), and support safe store operations.The ideal candidate brings a background in asset protection, loss prevention, or investigations, enjoys working independently within a territory, and is comfortable partnering with store teams and law enforcement when needed.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOversee Asset Protection activities for approximately 5–8 stores within an assigned territoryPartner closely with store management to identify risks and address shrink concerns in a timely mannerConduct internal theft and fraud investigations, including interviews and evidence collection, while maintaining strict confidentialityMonitor stores for Organized Retail Crime (ORC) activity and escalate findings as appropriateApprehend shoplifters and complete required documentation in accordance with company policies and proceduresRepresent the company in interactions with law enforcement and court proceedings related to external theft casesMonitor and enforce shrink reduction controls, including front-end operations and receiving practicesSupport store teams with inventory counts and follow-up on identified lossesEnsure physical security standards are consistently followed at the store levelAssist with Asset Protection planning and execution for new store openings within the assigned areaMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSHigh School diploma or equivalent3+ years of supermarket, retail, or comparable experience in Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or investigationsStrong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information verbally and in writingDemonstrated analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently while managing priorities across multiple locationsValid driver’s license requiredBENEFITSCompetitive base salaryMileage reimbursement for travel between stores401(k) with company matchComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefitsPaid time off and company holidaysOpportunities for professional growth within Asset Protection and OperationsUse of AI in Our WorkAt Northeast Grocery, we encourage the responsible use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to help increase efficiency, productivity, and quality of work.
