Maintenance Manager

Job Description Maintenance ManagerSummary/ObjectiveOversee maintenance of buildings, grounds, docks, piers, and shoreside infrastructure supporting operational and engineering activities.Essential FunctionsManage employee's schedules.Responsible for maintenance checks on building/equipment and Import and Export Infrastructure, i.e. Piers and railKeep timecards/payroll recordsArrange for supply orders and deliveryKeep employee personnel recordsDetermine training needs for employeesTrain employees to understand customer supplied work instructionsProvide disciplinary actions when necessaryComply with company rules and regulations and enforce themEnsure employee training records are complete, updated and forwarded to quality officeComply with customer rules and needsEnsure employees perform duties to meet quality requirements set forth by customer, management, ISO elementsRelaying all quality information to ISO personnel such as customer feedback, training records, corrective Action Plans, and documents.CompetenciesEffective communicator in listening, writing, and verbal.Must be detail oriented.Ability to solve problems.Ability to work as a team.Ability to organize and prioritize competing responsibilities.Punctual and dependable person.Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct reports.Work EnvironmentWell-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office, production setting, outdoor/indoor shop environment or enclosed vehicle with adequate ventilation and protection from extreme weather conditions.Physical DemandsLight physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative or production/technical nature. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are primarily Monday through Friday, normally working 8 hours per day.
