Simpson Judge are delighted to be partnered with a highly regarded, top-tier AmLaw100 firm to offer a Paralegal opportunity within its market-leading Real Estate Transactions practice in Miami, FL.The firm is widely recognized for its sophisticated commercial real estate platform, collaborative culture, and commitment to delivering exceptional results for premier institutional clients across the U.S. Paralegals are given meaningful responsibility, direct exposure to complex transactions, and the opportunity to support some of the most high-profile real estate finance matters in the market.The OpportunityThe Real Estate Finance Paralegal, based in Miami, FL, will join a nationally recognized Real Estate Transactions practice supporting attorneys representing lenders, borrowers, investors, sponsors, and institutional clients on sophisticated commercial real estate matters. The group advises on a broad range of high-value transactions across all major asset classes and offers paralegals the opportunity to work alongside leading attorneys in a highly collaborative environment.The firm’s entrepreneurial platform and integrated practice structure provide paralegals with significant involvement in transaction management, client communication, and exposure to complex financing structures and nationally significant transactions. The successful candidate will work closely with attorneys across the firm’s real estate, finance, tax, and corporate groups to help execute strategic transactions efficiently and effectively.The ResponsibilitiesAssist attorneys with commercial real estate finance transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.Prepare, organize, review, and manage loan documents, closing checklists, signature pages, and ancillary transaction documentation.Coordinate due diligence processes, including reviewing title and survey materials, organizational documents, leases, zoning reports, and other transaction-related materials.Manage transaction closings, including compiling closing binders and coordinating execution and distribution of documents.Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, title companies, surveyors, lenders, and third-party consultants throughout the transaction lifecycle.Maintain and organize transaction files, data rooms, and critical closing documentation.Assist with entity formations, UCC filings, and corporate documentation related to financing transactions.Support attorneys on mortgage and mezzanine financings, preferred equity investments, construction loans, bridge loans, syndications, and co-lender arrangements.Assist with post-closing matters, including tracking deliverables, recording documents, and maintaining transaction records.Provide support on workouts, restructurings, and distressed real estate matters as needed.Required Skills2+ years of paralegal experience in commercial real estate finance or real estate transactions within a law firm environment.Familiarity with commercial real estate closing processes, due diligence, and financing documentation.Experience with title and survey review, entity documents, and closing coordination preferred.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions and deadlines.Excellent attention to detail, communication, and project management skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.Ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.Strong interpersonal skills and a client-service-oriented mindset.Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience preferred.
