Project Engineer - Audio/Visual

BEI Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to support audio/visual projects in our Low Voltage division. This role will report to a General Manager with periodic travel to jobsites located throughout the Bay Area.Responsibilities & DutiesOversee and monitor jobsite production in conjunction with Project ManagersCoordinate and update project schedules and assist with job meetingsOrganize, attend, and participate in client and customer meetingsSupport Project Manager advanced administrative processes, including timecard processingCreate reporting for clients and customersCoordinate subcontractor and divisional trainingParticipate in client driven trainings as neededEvaluate, track, and update job schedulesAssist Project Manager in cost control and procurement of goods and services including bid solicitation and negotiationAssist Foreman with facilitating RFIs and site documentationCooperate and communicate with Project Managers and other project participantsCollaborate with operational team members to create more efficient project methods and maintain the project's profitabilityPerform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance and report on the project's statusCreate frameworks to measure the project's metrics and data collectionDocument and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetingsUndertake project tasks as requiredMaintain a project management calendar for fulfilling each goal and objectiveTravel to jobsites as neededOther duties, as assignedQualificationsMinimum two years of either A/V or construction-related experience is preferredA four-year degree may be considered in place of job experienceProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteValid CA Driver License and MVR that meets BEI driving standardsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and specificationsExcellent written and oral communication skills, both written and verbalOur benefits package includes:100% paid medical, dental, vision, and basic life for employees (cost sharing for dependents)401(k) employer contributionAnnual bonus opportunityPaid vacation, sick, and holiday leaveAbout UsBEI Construction is a growing multi-jurisdictional union construction firm.
