This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys designing backend systems while contributing across the full stack using TypeScript.About the RoleYou'll work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable software in a fast-paced startup environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript.Develop and enhance frontend features using React and TypeScript.Architect APIs, data models, and distributed systems with a focus on performance and reliability.Lead technical design discussions and drive engineering best practices.Mentor engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and collaborative problem solving.Partner cross-functionally with Product and Design to deliver customer-focused solutions.Improve system observability, testing, deployment pipelines, and overall engineering excellence.Contribute to architectural decisions that support rapid product growth.Qualifications6+ years of professional software engineering experience.Multiple years of experience operating at the Senior Software Engineer level.Required SkillsStrong expertise in TypeScript and Node.js for backend development.Professional experience building frontend applications with React.Deep understanding of API design, backend architecture, databases, and cloud-native development.Experience designing and operating production systems at scale.Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to engineering.Preferred SkillsExperience with AWS or another major cloud platform.Familiarity with containerization and CI/CD pipelines.Experience with microservices, event-driven architectures, or distributed systems.Passion for mentoring and helping build a strong engineering culture.
