MAINTENANCE MECHANIC- 3rd Shift
Job Summary:
Maintains and improves Adhesive Research facilities, support systems, lab and production equipment, with the primary focus being on safety and equipment reliability.
Essential Functions:
Adhere to AR policies and procedures in carrying out maintenance assignments
Schedule, plan and perform corrective maintenance duties as directed by the AR maintenance Lead, Supervisor, and/or Manager
Respond to immediate needs as required to maintain safety, quality, and equipment reliability
Perform facility and equipment installations and modifications under the direction of engineering.
Experience with small panel assembly and wiring installation
Repair machinery
Perform preventive maintenance duties
Perform minor machine modifications
Perform metal fabrications, welding, flame cutting, sawing and drilling
Fabricate parts using machine tools
Coordinate and perform mechanical aspects of facility start-up and support system operations
Support equipment installations: including millwright work, electrical and plumbing systems
Coordinate outside service providers
Additional Responsibilities:
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Job Specifications:
Two years experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic with training and experience in facilities maintenance, machinery repair, metal fabrication, welding, flame cutting, parts fabrication with machine tools, preventive maintenance services; repair and installation experience with electrical, industrial plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, HVAC, equipment rigging and instrumentation systems
High School diploma or equivalent
Driver’s license and ability to operate a forklift
Mechanical aptitude
Familiarity with NEC Code
Knowledge of Safe Electrical Practices, as outlined in NFPA 70E
Strong organizational, planning, communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
Dexterity and ability to operate power, machine and equipment moving tools
Must be capable of lifting 100 lbs.
Must be capable of working in adverse ambient conditions, non-routine work schedules, and be able to respond to call-ins
Must participate in an “on-call” schedule when required
Must participate in career development and training exercises as required
Must call and coordinate outside service providers as required
Self-motivated and team-oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision and limited direction
Must communicate fluently in English and have legible handwriting
Must keep customer information confidential
Must comply with company safety rules
