Accounting Manager
Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of a growing corporate AV integration company. This role is heavily project-accounting focused and requires strong organizational skills, financial accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across job costing, payroll administration, vendor management, and cash flow planning.The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, integration, project-based service industries, or similar operational accounting environments where revenue, expenses, and profitability are tracked by project.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial OperationsManage daily accounting operations including general ledger activity, AP/AR, journal entries, and bank reconciliationsEnter and maintain accurate accounting data across multiple active projectsReconcile accounts, credit cards, vendor statements, and expense reportsProcess customer invoices and monitor collectionsTrack project costs, labor allocations, and profitability by job/projectAssist with month-end and year-end close processesPrepare financial reports, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for leadershipMaintain organized financial records and support external CPA/audit requestsMonth-End/ Year-End compliance including filing sales tax returns and 1099’sProject-Based AccountingMonitor project budgets, committed costs, change orders, and billing schedulesCollaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project financial trackingAnalyze job costing and identify variances or cost overrunsSupport WIP (Work in Progress) reporting and revenue recognition as applicablePayroll, Benefits & HR Financial AdministrationManage payroll processing and payroll reportingCoordinate employee benefits administration including health insurance and retirement plansServe as primary liaison for payroll providers, insurance brokers, and 401(k) administratorsEnsure payroll tax compliance, benefit and 401(k) deductions are accurateAssist with onboarding/offboarding financial documentationWorkers Compensation ManagementCash Flow & Vendor ManagementMonitor company cash position and assist leadership with cash flow planningManage vendor payments and maintain strong supplier relationshipsHelp optimize payment timing and collections processesSupport financial decision-making with operational insightQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in:AV integration, Construction, Technology integration, Project-based service industriesStrong understanding of project accounting and job costingExperience managing payroll, employee benefits, and 401(k) administrationProficiency in Quickbooks Online and Microsoft ExcelAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with high attention to detailsStrong communication and organizational skillsPreferred SkillsUnderstanding of cash flow management and operational forecastingAbility to work independently in a fast-paced environmentStrong analytical and reconciliation skillsExperience working closely with operations and project management teamsCompensation & BenefitsSalary Range: $75,000 – $92,000 annually, based on experience and qualificationsPotential additional compensation may include:Performance bonusesHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company contributionPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development opportunities
