Job Description Automotive TechnicianSalary Range47k - 62kJob SummaryTo effectively diagnose and repair vehicles assigned to you in a timely manner while observing industry standard safety measures.General AccountabilitiesPerforms a full range of skilled automotive repair work, such as minor tune-ups, maintenance, systems diagnosis and repair from brakes to advanced engine controls.Inspects automotive equipment to determine the corrective action necessary.Reports all work done and issues observed along with the time accrued on the technician worksheet.Observes all safety requirements.Keeps the work area organized and clean to support safety and a professional environment.Operates and maintains automotive shop equipment.Performs minor welding and brazing work.Maintains a current drivers license.*The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.Job QualificationsEducation: High school diploma or equivalentExperience: 2-3 years related experienceDemonstrates a continuing desire and ability for learning and understanding the technology needed to be a automotive technician.SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication Troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems Able to read and follow wiring diagrams Able to read and follow trouble shooting diagrams Proficient with navigating diagnostic scan tools
