This key leadership role works in close collaboration with the Campus Program Director to ensure excellence in nursing education, regulatory compliance, and student success. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, clinical expertise, and a passion for developing the next generation of healthcare professionals.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist the Program Director in planning, developing, managing, and evaluating all aspects of the Vocational Nursing ProgramPrepare comprehensive data and written materials for state board reports, accreditation proposals, self-studies, and site visitsIdentify and secure external resources, grants, and partnerships to enhance the nursing programAssess and evaluate clinical agencies for suitability and ensure all Facility Approval Applications are completed prior to clinical rotationsMonitor and ensure timely completion of student theory and clinical evaluations by nursing facultyMaintain and organize evaluations from students, clinical sites, and faculty following each clinical rotationSupport strategic planning initiatives and drive continuous improvement of program quality and instructional deliveryCoordinate clinical assignments, rotation matrices, and academic calendars to ensure on-time completionMonitor faculty compliance with clinical rotation policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelinesReview and update student learning materials on an ongoing basis to reflect current best practicesEnsure student records are properly maintained in accordance with institutional and regulatory policiesSubmit required program reports, documentation, and forms to the Program Director in a timely mannerStay current with emerging healthcare technologies, safety regulations, and nursing education standardsProvide academic advising and program planning support to prospective and current studentsEnsure students meet all graduation requirements and are prepared for state licensing examinations (NCLEX-PN)Teach theory or clinical nursing courses approximately 50% of the timePerform other duties as assigned to support program excellenceRequired QualificationsValid, current, and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state where the position is locatedBaccalaureate degree in Nursing (BSN) or related field from an accredited institutionMinimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Registered NurseAt least 1 year of experience in nursing education, clinical instruction, or clinical supervision in an approved nursing program within the last 5 years (OR 3 years of experience in nursing administration or nursing education within the last 5 years)Completed coursework in teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and educational administration from an accredited institutionStrong organizational, communication, and leadership skillsProficiency with learning management systems and educational technologiesKnowledge of state board of nursing regulations and accreditation standardsCompensation & BenefitsAnnual Salary Range: $115,000 - $130,000 USDComprehensive Benefits Package Includes:Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance starting the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment2 weeks of paid vacation per year, increasing based on years of service10 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday annually401(k) retirement plan with employer matching contributionsCompany-paid Life Insurance at 1x annual salaryLeadership development programs and training opportunities for career advancementTuition assistance and tuition forgiveness for employees and family members up to 100% depending on the programWhy This Is a Great OpportunityThis Assistant Program Director position offers the unique opportunity to shape the future of nursing education while advancing your career in academic leadership.
