CHS is seeking passionate and dedicated people to oversee the production of the annual school play. These positions involve managing all aspects of the play, from initial concept development to the final performance. The ideal candidates will have strong backgrounds in theater arts, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative environment for students. Play Director Assistant Play Director (4) Key Responsibilities: Production Management: Lead the planning and execution of the school play, including script selection, casting, rehearsals, and performances. Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, students, and volunteers to create a cohesive production team. Foster collaboration among all participants, including actors, stage crew, and designers. Rehearsal Oversight: Schedule and conduct rehearsals, providing direction and constructive feedback to students to enhance their performances. Creative Development: Assist in the design and development of set, costumes, and props, ensuring they align with the vision of the production. Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for parents, school administration, and the community regarding the play. Provide updates and information as needed. Budget Management: Oversee the budget for the production, including fundraising efforts and resource allocation. Safety and Compliance: Ensure a safe environment for all participants, adhering to school policies and regulations during rehearsals and performances. Promotion: Promote the play through marketing efforts, including posters, social media, and community outreach to maximize attendance. Qualifications: Experience in theater production, directing, or supervising school plays is highly desirable. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
