Electrical Crew Lead

Loureiro Engineering Associates is seeking an Electrical Crew Lead to support electrical installation and troubleshooting projects in industrial environments from our Plainville, CT office. This role provides hands-on involvement in a wide range of electrical, controls, and fabrication projects, offering the opportunity to work across multiple service areas within our operating divisions.In this position, you will lead and perform field installations, including electrical and control wiring, panel fabrication, machine guarding installation, troubleshooting, and system integration. You will also oversee a crew of up to four technicians, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.At Loureiro, you won't just work for the company - you'll own a part of it. As a 100% employee-owned company, our Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) gives you a company-funded ownership stake that grows over time - so when we succeed, you share in the rewards.What You'll Do Execute assigned tasks with technical accuracy, quality workmanship, and on-time deliveryInstall electrical control systems in industrial and manufacturing settingsPerform power wiring (480V, 240V, 120V) using cable and flexible racewaysComplete field and panel control wiring, including terminations of peripheral cablesFabricate and assemble electrical control panelsFabricate brackets and hardware for mounting equipment, instruments, or sensorsInstall machine guarding equipment, including drilling, threading, and tapping for mounting and anchoringTroubleshoot machine control boards, PLCs, and complex industrial systemsInstall, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment and capital assetsRead and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, drawings, manuals, and work instructionsUse precision measuring instruments to verify accuracy and reliability of equipmentWork across diverse industrial project types, including:Machine Guarding: Integration of new safety controls and guardingIndustrial Remediation/Treatment Systems: Controls upgrades, system improvements, new installations, and troubleshooting (instrumentation, transmitters, motors, heaters, etc.)Refer complex challenges to the Technical Director or Project ManagerMaintain strict adherence to internal and client-specific safety standardsApply training in Lockout/Tagout, OSHA 10/30, and NFPA 70E (preferred)Who You Are Mechanically inclined with excellent hand–eye coordinationA clear communicator with strong verbal and written skillsSomeone with strong manual dexterity and technical aptitudeAble to delegate effectively while working hands-on in the fieldA detail-oriented problem solver who can interpret complex diagrams and schematicsSafety-focused and disciplined in following procedures and regulationsA reliable team player who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environmentsIntellectually curious and willing to learn new technologies and systemsWhat You Bring Electrical Journeyman licenseStrong skills with hand tools and electronic troubleshooting equipmentKnowledge of troubleshooting CNC and complex industrial machinery (e.g., vertical turning lathes, milling centers)Experience troubleshooting electronic controllers (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.)Ability to read drawings, schematics, and technical printsExperience using precision measuring instruments to assess machine accuracy and conditionAbility to plan, organize, and prioritize work effectivelyPhysical strength and stamina to perform installation and maintenance tasksAbility to work collaboratively within a team environmentEligibility to work in the U.S. without sponsorshipPhysical Requirements Manual dexterity for detailed electrical and mechanical workAbility to lift, carry, and maneuver materials and toolsAbility to stand, bend, climb, and work in industrial field conditionsAbility to operate standard electrical, mechanical, and fabrication equipmentAdherence to safety protocols and proper use of personal protective equipmentWhy Loureiro?
