Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Westminster MD Duration: Contract to Hire 9 x 80 Schedule Keys: Composites High Pressure Systems SolidWorks Job Details: This position is for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer role supporting research and new product development in the company's Mission Systems Division (MSD). The engineer performs tasks including design, analysis, risk management, planning, and coordination with other technical functions and program management related to all work within the scope of assigned projects. The engineer often acts as a technical leader for large projects or multiple smaller projects. They will contribute effectively towards team goals and influence those within their function and beyond to meet the needs of internal and external customers. A successful candidate will need knowledge and have prior experience of Aerospace new product introduction methods and high-pressure pneumatic or hydraulic systems and components. Experience in relatable industries and domains will also be considered.
