As a Software Engineer II, you’ll take ownership of feature development, contribute to solution design, and play a key role in delivering and supporting production software.Second level Software Engineers actively participate in both delivery and operational responsibilities, sharing accountability for production stability within a “you build it, you run it” operating model.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver quality software solutions on time and within budgetParticipate in technical solutioning, project planning, task breakdown, task estimation, and task executionWrite clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices and coding standardsLeverage appropriate frameworks, tools, and processes for project executionContribute to system design and architectural discussions under the guidance of Senior Software EngineersInvestigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues within defined timeframesParticipate in incident response activities and on-call rotationsContribute to root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issuesSupport continuous improvement efforts related to team practices, application stability, and supportabilityEducation and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science / related discipline or equivalent training2-3 years of professional software development experienceExperience with C#, Java, .NET, JavaScript, MS SQL, or similar languages/technologiesUnderstanding of and experience with secure coding practicesExperience with Test Driven Development (TDD), CI/CD, cloud technologies, and developer tools (including Generative AI)Experience with agile and plan-driven project execution frameworks, as well as software development lifecycle practicesSkills and AbilitiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamDisciplined, focused, and self-motivatedSolid planning and organizational skillsEffective interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrates adaptability and flexibility in navigating changeCustomer and outcome focused with a strong sense of ownershipDemonstrates a positive attitude, resilience, humility, and a continuous improvement mindset
