Finance & Human Resources Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY: The Finance and Human Resources Coordinator supports the day-to-day administrative functions specific to these departments. They will assist Finance with accounts payable and deposits. They will assist Human Resources with record-keeping, benefit administration, and payroll. This position requires accurate and timely processing of information and data entry. ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY: The Food Bank for Central & Northeast Missouri is a regional disaster and hunger-relief network that brings together community resources to share tens of millions of pounds of food with neighbors each year. JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Associate’s Degree in accounting, finance or related field, Bachelor’s preferredBookkeeping experienceHuman Resource Management Certificate, preferredExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesAbility to complete financial calculations and reports with accuracy and attention to detailHonesty and integrityAbility to relate effectively with other staff, volunteers, neighbors, The Food Bank partners and the general publicProven excellence in organizational and planning skills, problem analysis and problem-solving skillsBe sensitive to the needs of neighbors with a commitment to fighting hungerESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Shift 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – FridayBe available to cover Front Desk 12 - 1 p.m. and other times as neededAnswer a multi-line phoneDirect callers to resourcesPerform general clerical duties, including but not limited to filing, photocopying, scanning and mailingMaintain and update human resource documents and formsAccurately record journal entriesDaily deposits reconciliationMaintain confidentialityExercise good judgmentProficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteAdvanced computer skillsDUTIES:Obtain financial information for government contracts and private grantsManage special projectsProcess deposits and accounts payableBackup for benefit invoice reconciliationAssist in benefit enrollment and administrationBackup for payroll administrationNew employee orientation schedulingAssist in employee handbook understanding/guidanceHRIS AdministrationLearning Management System AdministrationServe as a member of the Employee CouncilAssist in verifying I-9 documentation and maintaining documentationAssist with maintaining driver filesWork with Volunteer DatabasePay Range: $18.50 - $21.50 per hour
