Additionally, be proud to be a member of this Magnet Hospital with a U.S. News & World Report high -performing and certified Great Place To Work , and Gold Certificate holder for Excellence in Person-Centered Care by Planetree International.The Department of Psychiatry seeks a full-time Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join an innovative and trailblazing program for treating pediatrics in emotional and behavioral crisis. -They will be opening one of the first pediatric Emergency Psychiatry Assessment, Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH) units in the nation which will be complimented by a short-term 12-week outpatient crisis stabilization program. This role will be 50% EmPATH unit based and 50% outpatient crisis stabilization office-based. The psychiatrist will round on the EmPATH unit weekday mornings and then spend afternoons providing outpatient follow-up care to patients recently discharged from EmPATH. Typical hours are Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm. No required call or weekend shifts.Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist Responsibilities:* Provide direct patient care on our pediatric Emergency Psychiatry Assessment, Treatment, and Healing (EmPATH) unit in the Emergency Department. * Provide outpatient crisis psychiatric management to patients discharged from the pediatric EmPATH unit for up to 12 weeks until they are transitioned to longer-term outpatient care in the community. * Supervise and teach nursing and ancillary staff and trainees assigned to the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry service. * Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team of emergency medicine and pediatrics staff and trainees, nurses, psychiatric techs, psychotherapists, case management, receptionists / schedulers, and outpatient office manager. * Coordinate patient flow between our emergency department, EmPATH unit, and outpatient crisis program.Benefits:* Medical, vision, dental, 403b, Life insurance, flex plan, malpractice, CME allowance, generous PTO, sign on bonus, relocation bonus and a Work/Life Concierge Service to help you manage every day and special occasion tasks for you and family. * Highly competitive salary starting at $339k with fellowship training plus generous sign-on bonus and relocation bonus.Requirements:* Fellowship trained in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry * BC/BE in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry * Available to start in 2026 * Able to secure a CT Medical Licenseby Jobble
