Einstein Pros looking for a Lead Journeyman Plumber The Lead Journeyman Plumber is responsible for assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems; as well as studying building plans and working drawings to determine work aids required and the sequence of installations. Supervisory Responsibilities: Lead role for journeyman plumber: Direct and assist journeyman and plumber helpers. Coordinate, supervise, and plan the installation maintenance, and repair of plumbing and plumbing systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Inspects structure to ascertain obstructions to be avoided to prevent weakening of structure resulting from the installation of pipe. Locates and marks the position of pipe and pipe connections and passage holes for pipes in walls and floors. Cuts openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings. Cuts and threads pipe. Bends pipe to required angle by use of a pipe-bending machine or by placing pipe over block and bending it by hand. Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings, and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass, and lead, and nonmetals, such as glass, vitrified clay, and plastic. Joins pipes by use of screws bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints. Fills pipe system with water or air and reads pressure gauges to determine whether the system is leaking. Installs and conducts major repairs to plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers, and water softeners. Welds holding fixtures to steel structural members. Properly logs work orders in Service Titan. Leaves work area in a clean, neat, and safe condition. Must work diligently to gain knowledge and experience to execute their role to its full potential. Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of established safety procedures and techniques. Knowledge of plumbing repairs, maintenance, and installation techniques. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws, guidelines, procedures, and codes. Skill in working in a collaborative, team-based environment. Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and written reference material. Skill in a variety of equipment including, but not limited to, pipe bender, propane torch, sewer rooter, and heavy equipment. Qualifications (Experience/Education/Certification): High school diploma or GED, Journeyman Plumber’s License; the ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions, five (5) years related plumbing experience, and a valid driver’s license.
