An overview of our core beliefs along with the scriptures that inform them can be found here .Character TraitsIs a Christ-follower with a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as their Lord and SaviorDemonstrates integrity and professional conduct in all interactionsShows flexibility and adaptability in a ministry environmentExhibits patience, care, and respect when working with other staff and church membersMaintains a positive, engaging attitude that creates a welcoming environmentHas a heart for those incarcerated, for discipleship and believes everyone deserves a second chance.RequirementsWhat You'll DoDevelop a volunteer training strategy to recruit, equip and launch Dgroups inside of the Sumner, Davidson, Wilson, Macon and Rutherford County jailsInitiate and cultivate a healthy ministry relationship with the chaplains and jail administrators at the county jails we serveOrganize and maintain those in the volunteer process within the local jail's ministry per the jail requirementsDevelop a weekly check-in process with Jail Campus Coordinators.Develop a weekly attendance process to be sent to the Recovery & Incarceration Director monthlyCreate a training pathway for Jail Campus Coordinators, and other jail volunteersCoordinate with the mobilization team for all Recovery and Incarceration serve teamsCollaborate with the Worship Team to establish a seamless volunteer process for the Worship Teams at each jail campusWork with jail administration to launch new jail campuses in Macon, Wilson, Davidson and Rutherford countiesCoordinate with jail administration and chaplains for baptisms at each jailAttend services weekly at the Sumner, Davidson, Macon and Wilson County jailsLaunch a weekly Dgroup inside of the Sumner, Davidson and Wilson County jailsPlan, organize and execute a yearly Christmas event for the jail inmatesPlan, organize and execute a yearly speaking event for Pastor Robby and Kandi at the jailsEffectively coach those in sin or trials with the truths of scriptureOrganize and maintain those in the volunteer process within the local prison ministry per TDOC requirementsDevelop a tracking system to determine real time stages for prospective volunteers in the prison and jail ministryOrder any prison and jail materials needed for Dgroups, weekly campuses and segregation ministriesHandle monthly check request from the Pando app and finance teamCollaborate with the team in planning any Recovery & Incarceration eventMaintain compliance with all company policies and proceduresComplete any task assigned to you by the Recovery & Incarceration DirectorMeet one on one with Recovery & Incarceration Director weeklyProvide ministry support for the Recovery & Incarceration Director calendar, team meetings, eventsSkills Needed to SucceedTwo-year experience in Jail Ministry with an emphasis in leading DgroupsHigh School DiplomaManage multiple priorities while adhering to deadlinesAbility to communicate clearly, both verbal and writtenExperience in teaching and preaching the BibleEquipped in guiding those seeking reentry from jailsProficiency with Apple computers and Google Docs/Workspace applicationsAbility to work well in team environmentsProficient in Microsoft excelPossess excellent organization skillsProven ministry track record for leading people and serving in IncarcerationBenefitsPaid vacation (starts at 3 weeks)Paid Holidays (12+ days)401K MatchPaid Medical & Dental Insurance w/HSA ContributionVision Insurance availableAccess to free counseling & legal servicesPaid time off to serve in other ministry areasPaid Time off to attend Conferences
