About the Opportunity:The Data Analyst plays a crucial role in building and owning the analytics function that supports operational decision-making across programs. This position involves developing and maintaining data sources, dashboards, and reports, collaborating with multiple teams to translate questions into actionable analytics. The role is highly visible and requires ownership, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver timely, high-quality insights that drive the organization''s growth and impact.3. Responsibilities:• Design, build, and maintain curated data sources, dashboards, and reports for operational decision-making• Own analytics products end to end, including requirements gathering, development, documentation, training, and ongoing enhancements• Write, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and contribute to the analytical data model• Collaborate with data engineering to ensure access to necessary data and build sustainable analytical layers• Develop Python-based pipelines to automate recurring reporting tasks• Validate and reconcile data to ensure accuracy before release• Produce clear documentation and train users on analytics products• Manage and prioritize enhancement requests based on changing business needs4. Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience• Minimum 3 years of data analytics experience with a track record of delivering complex projects• Strong SQL skills with the ability to optimize and maintain data models• Advanced dashboarding and BI skills, preferably with Tableau• Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and report automation• Effective written and verbal communication skills• Ability to work independently within a lean team environmentPreferred qualifications:• Experience in healthcare analytics, especially Medicaid and California CalAIM• Knowledge of dimensional/Kimball data modeling and medallion architecture• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and Databricks• Experience with Salesforce / Health Cloud data sources• Use of AI coding assistants for development• Customer-facing analytics experience5.
