Job OverviewThe University of Cincinnati Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) is seeking a full-time, 12-month educator track faculty member to support a new clinical doctorate program in speech-language pathology (SLP-D). This 12-month position will begin in Fall 2026 with rank (Assistant or Associate professor) commensurate with experience. Essential Functions This position will contribute to the teaching, scholarship, and service missions of the department and college, largely supporting the teaching and clinically based research endeavors of SLP-D students along with regular teaching responsibilities within our department. Teaching courses in the SLP-D program and mentorship of SLP-D student culminating projects will be a primary role for this position. Additional responsibilities will include engaging in relevant scholarly activity and providing service to the CSD Department and the College of Allied Health Sciences. This is an in-person teaching position with the potential for a hybrid format in the future. Minimum Requirements Doctoral degree (PhD or SLPD) in speech-language pathology or a related field; ABD candidates are welcome to apply but must have degree completed prior to August 2026 Experience teaching in a higher education setting, with a t least one year (or several part time experiences to equal one-year) of experience Demonstrated student mentorship experience with graduate students Demonstrated expertise in one or more area(s) of specialization in speech-language pathology Demonstrated evidence of services relevant to the SLP profession Commitment to fostering innovation, impact, and a positive working/learning environment for everyone Current knowledge and skills using technology, including educational learning management systems Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including communication, problem solving, counseling, conflict management, and follow-through Ability to work independently and collaboratively as a part of an interdisciplinary team Additional Qualifications Considered Current or eligibility for clinical credentials in speech language pathology (i.e., CCC-SLP) Current or eligibility for Ohio licensure to practice as a speech-language pathologist Active involvement in professional organizations or leadership at local, state, and/or national levels Application Requirements Cover Letter CV/Resume Teaching and Mentorship Statement(s) Contact information for Three References Course evaluations will be requested from applicants who have prior teaching experience if selected for an on-campus interview Applicants without a cover letter or CV/resume will not be considered.
