Python Developer

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development and maintenance of full-stack web applications and data processing pipelines that enable research and development teams to analyze and visualize agricultural field trial and image-based data. This role will focus on building scalable applications that support seed product development through geospatial mapping, image-layer visualization, and data-driven decision making. Estimated Pay Rate is $50/hr for this role.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications and data processing pipelines.Build interactive data visualization tools, including map-based interfaces and image-layer displays supporting R&D initiatives.Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure software quality and reliability.Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to translate business and research requirements into technical solutions.Deploy and support applications in AWS using modern DevOps practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, monitoring, and infrastructure automation.Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.Troubleshoot and resolve application, performance, and data integration issues.Contribute to application architecture, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Note: Python experience required for current application set.Experience with AWS Services like Lambda, Fargate, API Gateway, S3, & RDS, or equivalent experience with other cloud provider servicesExperience with database-backed application development including SQL queriesDebugging full stack web applicationsModifying CI/CD pipelinesLinux environment Good working knowledge of SQL and relational databases, including ORM conceptsFamiliarity applying agile software development practices as a member of a small team
