Associate - Structured Credit/Esoteric Asset Investing

Our elite global Alternative Investment Management client is seeking to recruit an Associate with investment banking credit/asset structuring and securitization experience to serve on various transaction teams and assist with identifying, negotiating, financing and closing Special Asset/Structured Credit investment opportunities for the firm's Special Asset Opportunities fund.Responsibilities:Assist with identifying, negotiating, financing and closing Special Asset/Structured Credit investment opportunities for the Special Opportunities Assets fundInteract frequently with portfolio company managementPerform investment research, financial modeling, transaction underwriting, valuation analysis and deal due diligenceAssist with business plan development for various investment opportunitiesDevelop investment ideas, write investment memos and create presentations for the investment committeeAssist with legal documentation and deal closingsSupport post-close efforts including add-on M&A transactions, management reporting, portfolio company growth objectives, etc.Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholdersAssist with capital raising initiativesMentor junior team membersAssist with ad hoc projectsRequirements:Bachelor's Degree with strong academic standing2-3 years of transactional investment banking or lateral investment analysis experience (targeting 2023-2024 undergrads)Experience with Esoteric ABS, ABS Securitization, Structured Finance, Leverage Finance or FIG investment banking transactions requiredAdvanced financial modeling, transaction underwriting and valuation analysis requiredExcellent communication, interpersonal, business writing and relationship management skillsHighly motivated, intellectually curious and creative with strong critical thinking skillsTravel required
