Construction Supervisor

Job Title: Construction Superviser PRIMARY FUNCTION: Schedule, coordinate, and supervise subcontractors and in-house labor forces for contractual requirements on commercial construction projects. SECONDARY FUNCTION: To market the company for prospective work through daily contact with owners, subcontractors, vendors, and networking opportunities. TYPICAL DUTIES: 1. Plan and supervise Assistant Superintendents and foremen in day-to-day activities. Determine means and methods of construction and manpower requirements, with assistance from the VP of Field Operations. 2. Coordinate assigned work with the work of different trades, and/or other contractors, with assistance from the Project Manager and/or the VP of Field Operations. 3. Maintain liaison with the Owner/Architect/Engineer and Project Management to ensure work complies with the contract documents and job schedule. 4. Responsible for coordination with the Project Manager and the VP of Field Operations in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) 5. Assist Project Manager with job scheduling, material procurement, delivery, and start dates for vendors and/or subcontractors. Assist in creating and maintaining budgets and estimates. 6. Directly responsible for implementing and enforcing Company and O.S.H.A. safety standards. 7. Maintain Daily Logs, Timesheets, and other documentation as directed by the Project Manager and/or General Superintendent. 8. Perform additional assignments per the General Superintendent’s direction. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Four (4) year degree in Engineering or Construction management is preferred, however, an equivalent amount of experience and/or training will be considered instead of a degree. Minimum ten (10) years of supervisory experience in the Construction industry required. A knowledge of job scheduling and the use of computer software (Procore) is preferred but not mandatory.
