Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a New York State licensed veterinary technician (part-time or full-time) to join our team at our full-service exotics-only animal hospital (no cats and dogs)! Work with four full-time doctors and experienced support staff. We are ideally looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and great communication skills.Your responsibilities would include:Client communication and educationAssisting veterinarians with exams/proceduresVenipunctureAdministering medications (injectable, topical, oral)Nursing careObtain laboratory samples, run in-house tests, and send samples to outside labsDiagnostic imagingAnesthesia and surgical monitoringPatient monitoring and post-op recoveryFilling prescriptions and reviewing medications with clientsRecording patient history in medical recordsProviding compassionate exotic pet careFlexible schedule with weekend availability.
