Maintenance Mechanic - B

H&M International Transportation operates over 300,000 square feet of warehousing & distribution space on the East Coast. Specializing in warehousing and distribution, container yard storage, trailer parking and customs examination services, HMIT is a premiere warehousing and examination services partner. We are currently looking for a Mechanic in Kearney, NJ. Responsibilities: · Conducting regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles. · Meeting with clients to better understand their concerns and identify the issue. · Assembling mechanical components according to specifications. · Examining machines and overseeing diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems. · Designing a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades. · Working with colleagues or customers to determine the possible source of machinery problems and define what issues need to be solved. · Conducting thorough inspections and evaluations of problematic machinery or parts to identify issues. · Utilizing technological devices to complete diagnostic tests of mechanical and electrical systems. · Ordering and replacing parts and components and repairing body damage as needed. Requirements: · 5+ years in similar role, preferably Transportation Industry · Possesses technical knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems is highly preferred. · Knowledge of general principles and practices of equipment maintenance and service writing is preferred. · Must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
