Full Stack Engineer

Start: ASAPDuration: Year-end with extension likelyType: Hybrid - 3 days onsiteExperience: 5+ yearsClient is seeking a full-stack developer for a role involving backend development, systems and instrument integration, testing, and deployment of new product feature releases, while also being able to provide general technical support as needed. Candidate must have expertise in Java, Python, AWS, TypeScript, integrating with third-party APIs, and a working knowledge of SQL and GitHub. The successful candidate will work closely with product and scientific stakeholders located in South San Francisco.Key Responsibilities:Backend Development and Systems Integration:Collaborate with the existing technical team to design, develop, and implement features and systems integrations.Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications by writing efficient, reusable, and reliable code.Product Release Testing and Deployment:Participate in the testing and deployment of new product releases to ensure quality and performance standards are met.Technical Support:Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve issues as they arise.Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address technical challenges.Qualifications/Experience Requirements:RequiredJava and Python experience for backend developmentDocker for containerization and Kubernetes deployment experienceSQL and Database ManagementGitLab - Version control and collaborationStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamDemonstrated ability to engage with scientific stakeholders (ideally in the chemistry domain) to develop problem understanding and inform technical strategyPreferredPrevious experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environmentExperience with AWS environments
