Accounting Consultant - Senior Manager/Director

TITLE: Interim Director of Accounting/Senior Accounting Manager (could be temp to permanent - Snr Manager level)COMPENSATION:Pay Rate: $60-$75/hrPermanent Conversion Salary: $130k-$140kLOCATION: Cocoa, FL (hybrid)Company:A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an Interim Senior Accounting Manager to support a hands-on accounting environment during a period of operational and process enhancement. The company operates in an inventory-intensive environment and is focused on improving financial processes, reporting consistency, and overall accounting infrastructure.Purpose Of Your Position:The Interim Senior Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting operations and help support financial reporting, close activities, and process improvements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This individual will work closely with leadership to strengthen accounting procedures, support inventory and cost accounting activities, and assist with overall operational finance processes.Primary Responsibilities:• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and reporting activities• Manage month-end and year-end close processes• Support inventory, purchasing, fixed asset, and cash-related accounting functions• Maintain reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting schedules• Assist with budgeting and financial reporting support activities• Supervise accounting staff and help improve departmental processes and workflows• Support internal controls, accounting consistency, and operational reporting accuracy• Partner cross-functionally within a hands-on manufacturing environmentRequirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field• Prior accounting experience within a manufacturing or inventory-intensive environment• Strong cost accounting, general ledger, and month-end close experience• Inventory accounting exposure required• Experience leading or mentoring accounting staff• Strong process orientation and attention to detail• Ability to work onsite within an operational environment preferred• ERP system experience required• CPA preferred but not required• Experience within a fast-paced or sponsor-backed environment is a plus
