The company develops technologies and services designed to support reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy while advancing decarbonization, modernization, and energy transformation.About the RoleThe Project Engineer – Power Generation serves as a key connection between customers, field teams, manufacturing partners, and suppliers following power-generation equipment failures. The role focuses on developing recovery strategies, coordinating outage and recovery activities, managing schedules, and ensuring replacement components are manufactured and delivered on time.The position also involves traveling to project sites to support and mentor site project managers, assess field conditions, and maintain alignment throughout execution.Key ResponsibilitiesInterface directly with customers and regional teams following equipment or unit failures.Assess customer needs and develop appropriate recovery strategies.Develop detailed processes, schedules, and execution plans to return equipment to service efficiently.Travel to project sites to mentor and support site project managers.Assess site conditions and ensure proper execution alignment.Monitor project progress and provide timely updates to customers and internal stakeholders.Coordinate with factories and subcontractors to manufacture, repair, and deliver critical replacement components.Support logistics, heavy-haul transportation, and material movement.Ensure materials and components are delivered according to project schedules.Coordinate recovery activities across customers, field teams, factories, and suppliers.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor's degree in Engineering or 5+ years of experience in field outage management or power-generation services.Minimum 5 years of experience in outage management, project engineering, or field service within power generation or a related industry.Strong knowledge of steam turbines, gas turbines, and generators.Understanding of power plant construction and repair-shop practices.Knowledge of heavy-haul transportation and logistics coordination.Ability to develop detailed project schedules and cost estimates.Strong coordination, communication, and project-management capabilities.Ability to work effectively with customers, field teams, suppliers, factories, and subcontractors.Work AuthorizationApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.About the TeamThe position is part of Gas Services, which focuses on low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization.
