Structural Engineer
Overview
In this role you will provide in-house structural analysis and design support for modular buildings and skid-based systems. You’ll perform calculations, optimize designs, and ensure compliance with building codes while supporting projects from concept through completion. Your expertise with steel structures and structural software will help standardize calculations and improve manufacturability. This is a chance to help build and lead an in-house structural function within a team focused on innovative modular projects.

ResponsibilitiesPerform structural analysis and design calculations for modular buildings, skid-mounted equipment, and other steel-framed structuresDevelop, review, and optimize structural designs to ensure safety, efficiency, and code complianceUtilize structural analysis software such as RISA, SAP2000, or similar programs to evaluate structural integrityPrepare engineering calculations, reports, and supporting documentation for internal and customer useEstablish and maintain standard structural calculation packages for commonly used designsCollaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and project teams to improve structural performance and manufacturabilityProvide engineering support throughout project execution, including design reviews and technical recommendationsWhen appropriately licensed, review and seal engineering documents for applicable projectsCoordinate with third-party licensed engineers when project-specific state licensure is requiredStay current with applicable building codes, industry standards, and engineering best practices
Key requirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering disciplineMinimum of 5–7 years of structural engineering experienceDemonstrated experience performing structural calculations for steel structures or similar applicationsProficiency with structural analysis software such as RISA, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, or equivalentStrong understanding of structural design principles, steel construction, and applicable building codesExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsanalytical thinkingproblem-solvingclear communicationRISASAP2000STAAD.Pro
