Will perform accurate scanning of patient records into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in accordance with established policies, procedures and regulationsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job has no supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Scan and digitize medical records and documents into the electronic health records (HER) system. Ensure that all scanned documents are legible, complete and accurately indexed. Maintain the confidentiality and security of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Perform quality checks on scanned documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. Collaborate with HIM staff to address any discrepancies or issues with medical records. Answer telephone and take requests for medical records or information. Deliver patient medical records to qualified personnel and departments upon request.Education And/or ExperienceMust be a minimum of a high school junior or senior.
