General Production Worker
General ProductionThis general production role focuses on inspecting and packaging plastic parts in a clean, modern manufacturing environment. You will work in small teams to ensure products meet strict quality standards, support smooth production flow, and follow established safety and company procedures. Over time, you can grow into more advanced paths such as Extrusion Operator or Machine Technician, taking on greater responsibility for overseeing jobs and adjusting equipment.ResponsibilitiesInspect finished plastic parts to ensure they meet customer quality standards and company specifications.Work collaboratively in teams of 23 people to complete production tasks efficiently.Identify and remove defective or non?conforming parts from the production line.Pack, label, and seal finished products according to job order and packing instructions.Read and understand job orders, packing instructions, and related documentation.Operate grinders as needed to remove scrap material and support production flow.Change plastic rolls as required to maintain continuous production.Communicate quality concerns, machine issues, or process problems to supervisors or appropriate personnel promptly.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with company standards.Follow all safety, quality, and company policies and procedures at all times.For the Extrusion Operator path: oversee each job that runs on the extruder and ensure each job is completed correctly and on time.For the Extrusion Operator path: monitor the extruder during production and troubleshoot any problems that arise.For the Machine Technician path: adjust machine settings as necessary to ensure parts remain within acceptable quality standards.For the Machine Technician path: partner closely with inspector packers to perform and verify quality checks.Essential SkillsExperience working in plastic manufacturing environments.Plastic extrusion experience.Experience with basic production tasks such as packaging, inspection, and packing.Ability to operate or learn to operate production machinery, including grinders and related equipment.Capability to read and understand job orders, instructions, and basic production documentation.Strong attention to detail for identifying defective or non?conforming parts.Commitment to following safety, quality, and company policies and procedures.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience working in a cleanroom or GMP production environment.Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing setting.Comfort working as part of a small, collaborative team.Willingness to learn additional skills to support advancement into Extrusion Operator or Machine Technician paths.Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sauk City, WI.Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.
