General Manager - Automotive DealershipJob Description & Compensation ProposalJob DescriptionLocation: Nye Auto Dealerships - Single Point Positions available at Ford, Toyota, Buick GMC, Chevrolet, CDJR in Oneida & Volkswagen of Rome, New York Job Type: Full-Time Salary & Commissions Compensation: $120,000 - $250,000+ annually Base Salary + Performance Bonus + Profit Participation (Based on Experience & Performance) We are seeking a highly motivated, results-driven General Manager to lead and oversee all dealership operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive retail leadership, team development, fixed operations, sales management, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The General Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing department leaders, maintaining manufacturer standards, and creating a high-performance culture throughout the dealership. Ideal Candidate Profile:The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader capable of building culture, driving accountability, growing fixed operations, increasing sales volume and gross profit, developing managers and sales teams, and improving customer retention and online reputation. Responsibilities• Oversee daily dealership operations including New Vehicle Sales, Used Vehicle Sales, F&I, Service, and Parts • Drive profitability and departmental performance • Hire, train, mentor, and develop management staff • Maintain exceptional customer satisfaction scores • Analyze financial statements and departmental KPIs • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and manufacturer policies • Develop marketing and growth strategies • Improve operational efficiency and dealership culture • Manage inventory levels and pricing strategy • Lead sales forecasting and budgeting processes Qualifications• 5+ years of automotive dealership management experience • Previous General Manager or General Sales Manager experience preferred • Proven track record of increasing profitability and market share • Strong leadership and communication skills • Experience managing multi-department operations • Ability to read and interpret dealership financial statement • High level of integrity and professionalism • OEM/franchise dealership experience preferred RequirementsProfessional appearance and communication skills Integrity, a positive attitude and a strong work ethic required Willing to learn Be a team player Receptive to new ideas Must have a Clean & Valid License (no major infractions) Must pass a Drug Test Qualifications: To perform this job successfully An applicant must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
