Position description The Charlie Dunlop School of Biological Sciences, Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry is seeking to fill a Lecturer position (33.3% appointment) for Spring Quarter 2026 for an upper-division elective course called M124B Viral Pathogenesis. This is a 4-unit course for approximately 60-80 students. This position involves approximately 30 hours of classroom instruction (3 hours/week for 10 weeks). In addition to classroom teaching, the position will require the preparation of lecture slides and course content, selection of reading materials, creation of homework, exams, and assessments, grading, assigning of grades, and holding office hours.The minimum requirement is experience teaching virology or in a field related to this course topic (such as medical microbiology or microbial pathogenesis), and/or an advance degree (M.S., Ph.D.) in biology.
