You'll work alongside a small, focused team and play a meaningful part in ensuring the technology is grounded in genuine legal expertise.ResponsibilitiesReview and validate the company's interpretations of laws and regulations as applied to AI agents in banking, flagging inaccuracies and adding nuance to improve accuracyCreate and evaluate mappings from legal and regulatory text into structured compliance logic, correcting them where they fail to capture legislative or regulatory intentAssess outputs produced by AI agents in legal and compliance workflows, evaluating whether the reasoning, citations, and conclusions would hold up under legal scrutinyContribute jurisdiction-specific legal expertise to ensure interpretations reflect the laws and standards of your region (US, UK, India, Singapore, or EMEA)Qualifications3+ years of hands-on experience in legal practice, or a demonstrated depth of understanding in legal interpretation and analysisStrong working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations within your jurisdictionPractical familiarity with how legal reasoning is constructed, scrutinized, and defendedExcellent analytical skills and attention to detailComfort working independently and asynchronously in a structured formatCurrent or recent practitioner status: practicing lawyers, in-house counsel, and legal academics all welcomeCompensation & engagement$80–110/hour, based on specialization, seniority, and regional coverage (rate confirmed before engagement begins)Flexible hours, minimum 10 hours/weekProject-based: initial engagement of 4–12 weeks with strong potential for ongoing work
