Rehab Therapist-Lead (Inpatient) Internal Only Sign on Bonus: $6,000 PT/OT/Hand, Relocation Allowance (up to): $10,000 All Samaritan Albany General Hospital Req #: 75766 Albany, OR 1.0 (80 hrs/pp) - Day AGH Physical Therapy Remote Status: No Salary Range: $50.58 - $62.87 JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Provides lead/resource support for management in the efficient and effective delivery of physical, occupational or speech therapy in assigned area of responsibility. Promotes excellent patient care through appropriate supervision, evaluation and adequate training of departmental personnel, QA/QI, development and maintenance of appropriate policies and procedures, regulatory compliance and protocol development. Assists in daily scheduling and leads/organizes interdepartmental meetings as assigned. Participates in intradepartmental meetings and task forces as needed. DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Rehabilitation teams at Samaritan evaluate and treat patients with injuries or conditions that have caused either a decline in physical mobility or functional independence. The Physical Therapy team at Samaritan Albany General Hospital evaluates and treat patients with acute and chronic injuries or limitations that are neuro/musculo/skeletal in nature that have caused either a decline in physical mobility or functional independence. We also offer a variety of services in the areas of sports and orthopedic rehab, neurological and stroke rehab, balance, and spinal therapy. EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Current unencumbered Oregon Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Therapist license required. Two (2) years experience providing therapy in area of specialty in an outpatient and/or acute hospital setting required. Healthcare Provider Level BLS required upon hire. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Therapy and Counseling - Possess the skills and knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and cognitive conditions. Ability to provide counseling and guidance. Business Writing - Strong business writing skills, including the ability to professionally communicate clinical content in written documentation that is easily understood by the end user. Communication - Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues, exchange information between team members, and tactfully discuss issues. Ability to perform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas. Team Building - Ability to work, function and communicate on a multi-disciplinary team. Possess the knowledge and skills to develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time. Time Management - Ability to organize, plan and prioritize work to complete within required time frames and to follow-up on pending issues.
