Sr / Lead Mechanical Design Engineer

You'll be the technical heartbeat of the team, guiding designs from concept to fabrication-ready reality.This is not a sit-back-and-observe role. This is a plug-in, take charge, make it better opportunity.What You'll Be OwningDesign & Engineering ExcellenceDesign and model complex piping systems, tanks, and assemblies using SolidWorks (including Routing tools)Create precise 3D models and production-ready fabrication drawingsRun interference checks, tolerance stack-ups, and mechanical calculationsRefine and adapt designs based on real-world feedback and engineering changesMaintain clean, structured file management using PDM systemsLeadership & Technical DirectionAct as the go-to technical expert on mechanical design projectsLead and mentor a small team of mechanical design engineersReview and elevate designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and complianceCollaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and project teamsDrive continuous improvement in design processes and standardsRequirementsWhat You Bring to the TableDegree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) with 10+ years of experienceor 15-20 years of hands-on mechanical design expertiseAdvanced proficiency in SolidWorks, especially Routing toolsStrong experience designing piping systems, tanks, and industrial assembliesProven track record of delivering production-ready drawingsNatural leadership ability with a passion for mentoring othersClear communicator who thrives in a collaborative environmentBonus Points If You HaveExperience with water treatment or similar industrial systemsKnowledge of fluid dynamics, pumps, valves, and instrumentationBackground working in fabrication or manufacturing environmentsThe EssentialsSolidWorks Routing: 3-5 yearsPiping design: 3-5 yearsProduction-ready drawings: 3-5 yearsBenefitsWhat's In It for You401(k)Health insurancePaid time offA tight-knit, supportive team with low turnover and real growth opportunitiesThe chance to work on tangible, meaningful engineering projects that serve communities
