This role works closely with Engineering, Materials, Operations, and Sales to analyze Bills of Material (BOMs), determine labor and production costs, and support customer proposals from concept through final quotation.The ideal candidate will have experience estimating electrical control panels, UL panel assemblies, or similar electro-mechanical systems within a manufacturing or industrial automation environment.Essential FunctionsDevelop customer proposals and project quotations based on engineering designs, BOMs, and customer specificationsCoordinate with the Materials team to obtain component pricing and supplier quotationsCollaborate with Operations and Production teams to estimate labor hours and build requirementsWork with Sales to align project pricing and margin objectivesReview project scope and manage quotation revisions or change orders as neededAnalyze drawings, panel layouts, and wiring diagrams to support accurate estimatingCoordinate with Engineering teams regarding component selection and technical requirementsMaintain organized estimating documentation and cost recordsSupport supplier RFQs, quote comparisons, and cost normalization activitiesAssist in continuously improving estimating processes and proposal accuracyExperience, Education And SkillsAssociate / technical degree or better in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field is preferred3+ years of experience estimating or quoting electrical control panels / UL panel assemblies OR similar electro-mechanical productsExperience in a manufacturing, controls, or panel assembly environment preferredFamiliarity with CAD drawings, panel layouts, and wiring diagramsExperience with BOM costing, supplier RFQs, and labor estimatingStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systemsAbility to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a team environmentWhy Heitek?
