This hybrid role requires candidates to work approximately 2 days per week on-site. This role requires strong systems, software, cloud, and Agile experience to support a complex program to provide Agile development and operations and maintenance for critical systems on a mission-critical program. In this hands-on position, you will work collaboratively to architect, design, build, deliver, and enhance highly available, scalable, real-time systems. You will exercise your judgment in determining and recommending the best designs based on customer business objectives, timelines, and other resource constraints. You will participate in and/or direct major deliverable of projects through all aspects of the software development life cycle including scope and work estimation, architecture and design, coding, and unit testing.Basic Qualifications BS/BA degree and 12 years of directly related experience or Master's with 10 years of directly related experience; OR 4 years of directly related experience in lieu of degreeExperience with Agile Scrum methodology and working in a SecDevOps environmentExperience working with containerized applications preferably utilizing Konvoy3+ years' experience developing cloud ready applications and/or experience migrating applications to the cloud2+ years of experience in one of the following: JAVA, JSF, JavaScript, Spring, Automated test tools such as SeleniumMinimum 2 years of experience in at least 2 of the following: React, Angular, Redux, HTML, CSS, JSX, bootstrap, ES6, Redux, JWT, JSON, Babel, Webpack, Axios, NPM, NodeProficient in JAVA, JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object modelThorough understanding of React and Angular and its core principles2+ years experience with Microservices/RESTful APIsExpertise with Axios framework to work with rest servicesHands on experience with HTML/CSS/BootstrapHands on experience of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token (JWT)Preferred Qualifications Hands on working experience with Redux Store for session managementHands on experience with more current specifications of EcmaScript (ES6)Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, Node etc.A knack for benchmarking and optimization is plus.AWS Developer or Solutions Architect certificationsActive Full CBP BIExperience with Google CloudRequirements Must be able to work approximately 2 days per week on-site in Ashburn, VAPlease note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires U.S. citizenship status.Must be able to maintain and obtain a CBP Background Investigation prior to startWhat is Important to Us You are an excellent communicator in writing and speaking.You have the ability to work independently but also value teamwork.Your problem-solving skills are excellent.You are looking for a job where performance appraisals occur regularly, and you look forward to advancing your career.You seek a community of virtue-centered co-workers and clients.What we offer you As part of the VSO company, you will be part of a virtue-centered team who value their work and teammates.
