Junior EIC Engineer
JUNIOR ELECTRICAL, INSTRUMENTATION, AND CONTROLS ENGINEERHouston, TexasOur ideal candidate will be an essential member our EIC engineering team, possessing exposure through co-op or previous employment to EIC design in either the energy, transmission pipeline, or petrochemical industries. As a member of Lanmark’s EIC team you will perform work as part of a multi-discipline design team with project teams in multiple offices, providing instrumentation, controls, and electrical engineering support to project managers and project teams.Job ResponsibilitiesCoordinating with the project engineering team for the execution of the design of projectsFamiliar with EIC drawings and schematics, such asinstallation detailsinstrument location drawingsloop diagramswiring diagramsinstrument listsI/O lists and assignmentsinstrument UPS load requirements listslocation plansarea classification drawingscontrol system architecture diagramscommunication block diagramsbuilding, control room, and MCC layoutscontrol panel, marshalling cabinet, junction box, and communication cabinet layoutsAC power distribution, DC power distributionload listssingle line diagramsIO schematicslogic diagramscause and effect diagrams/shutdown keyinstrument indexesExperience with reviewing EIC drawings and schematics and completing redline markups in a PDF (Blue Beam or Adobe) environmentAssisting with design of engineering work packages and construction work packages including:data sheetsmaterial requisitionvendor packagesAssisting with instrumentation Specification (selection, technical data sheets, bid analysis and recommendations) and Procurement for field instruments and control systemsParticipating in design reviews and HAZOPs, as requiredDeveloping your knowledge of industry and regulatory standardsAdhering to Lanmark’s Quality Management System (QMS)Ensuring design is in accordance with applicable codes and requirements, including Lanmark and client specifications and standardsResponsible for adhering to all health and safety policies and guidelinesQualificationsEngineer with eligibility to obtain an American PE or Canadian P.Eng.Bachelor of Science degree in engineering with an accredited American or Canadian university (or equivalent); electrical, instrumentation, and/or controls specialization preferredExperience at an EPCM in the energy, transmission pipelines, or petrochemical industry is preferredExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills combined with a positive, team-oriented attitudePlease send your resume to eic.us@lanmarkeng.net and include the title of the position in the subject line.Precise.
